  1. Rules

    1. The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
    2. Class rules for Laser will apply.
    3. Swedish competitors shall when racing under Handicapping System and Rating Rules follow the licensing rules for advertising as decided by the Swedish Sailing Federation.
    4. All boats shall in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20 display advertising provided by the event organiser.

  2. Eligibility requirements

    1. Competitors shall comply with ISAF Regulation 19.
      Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance.
      Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. Every competitor should be able to handle his or her vehicle in wind strength up to 25 knots (12 m/s).
  3. Entries

    1. Advance entry shall be made not later than July 1 at http://norderviken.se.
    2. The advance entry shall include the following: Name, nation, sail number, year of birth and club
    3. The entry fee is 600 SEK and is paid to bankgiro 5688-8316 (Swedbank) not later than July 1. The fee includes regatta dinner at Saturday and the Valö Runt fun race. Without regatta dinner the entry fee is reduced to 500 SEK. International participators shall pay to IBAN:SE 38 8000 0836 8390 4500 3457, BIC SWEDSESS.
    4. Late entries will be accepted until August 5. The late entry fee is 900 SEK. The fee includes regatta dinner at Saturday. Without regatta dinner the late entry fee is reduced to 800 SEK.
    5. The number of competitors is limited to 140. The order of applications (including payment) discerns whose entrances will be accepted.
  4. Registration and measurement checks

    1. Registration shall be made at the race office not later than August 9, 9.00 pm.
  5. Sailing Instruction

    1. The sailing instructions will be handed out upon completion of the registration.

      Sunday 10/8, 10.25 Time for the second day first warning signal
      Prize giving ceremony as soon as possible after the last race

  7. Race format

    1. If the number of participating boats is big the boats might be divided into smaller fleets. Details will be described in the sailing instructions.
    2. Valö Runt is offered as a practice race on Friday at 17.00 hours
  8. Racing area

    1. The races will take place in the Fjällbacka archipelago. Details will be described in the sailing instructions
  9. The course

    1. Windward-leeward/trapezoid course will be sailed.
  10. Protests and penalty systems

    1. Sailing Instructions Appendix P will apply.
    2. The penalty with blue flag for infringement of RRS 31.1 will apply, as described in the sailing instructions.
    3. Decisions of the protest committee will be final as provided in RRS 70.4.
  11. Scoring

    1. The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
    2. 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship.
  12. Prizes

    1. SSF: s plaquette to the first, second and third in Standard and in Radial.
    2. Prises to Apprentice, Master, Grand Master, Great Grand Master, Radial Male and Radial Female.
